What Our Students Are Saying

Austin Shelton

Trumpeter
Education & Human Sciences Major

Not only is band a fun activity to continue on into your college career, no matter your major, being in the Marching Pride can teach you many things. It teaches you accountability, it teaches you to be disciplined, and most importantly, how to be a team. Being a member of the Marching Pride and UNA has taught me many life skills needed to have a successful career and I’ve made plenty of life long friends along the way. No matter what your degree field may be, anyone can and will benefit from the Marching Pride experience.

William Owen Fletcher

Alto Saxophonist
Arts & Sciences Major

One of my biggest concerns when coming to UNA was finding people and an organization that would motivate and push me to be at my best. With saying that, I could not be more pleased that I decided to come here. My goals are focused on being the best player I can be along with auditioning and making a professional group. After arriving in Fall of 2020, I can say that I have been pushed more and more every week to be better than the week before. I have had goals set for me from my studio with full intentions of helping me accomplish my goals. I could not be happier with my decision to become a UNA Lion!!
